Yurgamyshsky District (Russian: Юргамы́шский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kurgan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,600 square kilometers (1,000 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Yurgamysh.[1] Population: 20,886 (2010 Census);[3] 24,666 (2002 Census);[7] 26,703 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Yurgamysh accounts for 36.5% of the district's total population.[3]
