Yuzhsky District (Russian: Ю́жский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia.[1] It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,341 square kilometers (518 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Yuzha.[1] Population: 19,796 (2021 Census);[6] 25,728 (2010 Census);[2] 28,793 (2002 Census);[7] 33,792 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Yuzha accounts for 65.6% of the district's total population.[2]
