Zachry Cheyne Edey (/ˈdi/ EE-dee; born May 14, 2002) is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Purdue Boilermakers, leading the team to the NCAA Division I men's basketball championship game in his final year. Edey is listed at 7 feet 4 inches (2.24 m), making him the tallest player in Big Ten history. At the close of the 2023 season, Edey was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and consensus National Player of the Year, repeating both in 2024. He was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the 2024 NBA draft. Edey is tied with Victor Wembanyama as the tallest active NBA player.
