Zavetinsky District (Russian: Заве́тинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. The area of the district is 3,000 square kilometers (1,200 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Zavetnoye.[1] Population: 17,250 (2010 Census);[2] 18,508 (2002 Census);[5] 18,638 (1989 Soviet census).[6] The population of Zavetnoye accounts for 41.0% of the district's total population.[2]
